  • Johannes Brahms, Piano Quartet No. 3 in c minor, Op. 60

From Brahms’ illustration of Goethe’s Werther to Szymanowski’s miniatures from Greek mythology, Lou Harrison’s portrayal of the goddess of the labyrinth to Miriam Gideon’s nursery rhyme parodies, we open our winter season with five fantastical tales of whimsy and enchantment.
