Can music tell a tale? A crafty trickster comes to life, a clarinet woos an uninterested maiden, drums share memories from the Australian outback, and a violin sings a lullaby. Join us for a colorful morning of classical music – especially for kids – that transports us into the narrative, bringing the world of our imaginations to life with works by Strauss, Piazzolla, Florence Price, Mark O’Connor, and more.

An “instrument petting zoo” will follow the concert. Kids will be able to handle and play percussion, violin, viola, cello, and double bass as guided by Chameleon’s musicians, and will be encouraged to touch, pluck, bow, and strike.

"More than 400 concerts later, cosmos after cosmos, Chameleon is still going strong. Saturday night’s performance was a festive and satisfying affair fully realized in the ensemble’s adventurous style."
